Job description

As a Principal Research Consultant with Numerator, you’ll play a critical role in the successful project management, client management, and delivery of insights for our most advanced and strategic engagements (e.g. segmentations, trackers). This person will be the project lead, collaborating with clients, methodology and statistical experts, and the client account team. The Principal Research Consultant will manage complex conversations regarding project design, analysis, interpretation, adoption, timelines, and challenges with the client.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and provide senior-level guidance to the project team and client, to drive the successful implementation of Numerator’s advanced strategic research projects (e.g. segmentations, trackers) to ensure excellence throughout the project experience
  • Project responsibilities include: lead key client calls and most client communications; drive direction and strategy of questionnaire; lead deliverable creation process / story / design; project management with client and drives forward internally; give final presentation and lead any workshops
  • Understand client’s strategic business and research needs; ensure project success by working toward an optimal outcome for both the client and Numerator
  • Demonstrate and provide consultation on project management and delivery best practices across multiple forms of advanced research analytics both within the team and with clients directly
  • Collaborate with clients and our methodology experts/statisticians and direct the dedicated account team to enable project success, with a goal of continued Numerator-Client partnership
  • Provide guidance and feedback to the internal team (relating to the project strategy or methodology) as needed for the success of the project
  • Maintain knowledge of Numerator’s Insights panel data and platform functionality, in order to partner for successful integration with panel data or transition of a project to the panel consulting team
  • 12+ years of quantitative research experience
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience with CPG clients and leading strategic research from the vendor side
  • Commercial acumen and an ability to work with clients of all levels of seniority
  • Capable of overseeing multiple projects at any given time
  • Entrepreneurial focus to thrive within our growth-oriented environment, with a client orientation that contributes to our ability to act as a trusted advisor
  • Ability to think strategically about client business issues, and design research and build story-focused reports to address those business issues
  • Analytical mindset with a penchant for strong data visualization and delivering strong recommendations and actionable insights to empower our clients
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Knowledge of panel data, and the ability to combine multiple data sources into seamless results
  • Travel, as required, to support the above responsibilities
