American Family Insurance in Madison, WI is seeking a Senior IT Architect to lead modernization efforts, architect solutions, and align technology with business goals. You will oversee design, deployment, and operations of servers, networks, cloud services, and external providers, while driving product roadmaps and ensuring delivery on schedule and budget.

Position Compensation Range: $131,000.00 - $220,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively support multiple business partners and technology stakeholder groups.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and SDLC, with the ability to establish and mature new technology platforms, teams, and operating models.
Strong operational focus and ability to understand key business processes and how technology can effectively enable.
Proven ability to prioritize workload, manage competing demands, and develop technical operational metrics to measure system performance and success.
Demonstrated desire and focus on minimizing overhead and complexity while empowering and enabling self‑managing, agile delivery.
Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams and meet people where they are.
Insurance and/or Legal industry knowledge is preferred.
In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. Candidates should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110
