Job summary

Prattwhitney is seeking a Principal Radar / RF-focused Electrical Subsystems Engineer for the Advanced Effector Guidance Systems Department in Tucson, AZ. This role focuses on architecture, modeling, design, and integration of advanced radar-based guidance subsystems and supporting RF components.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in STEM, a minimum of 8 years of experience, and must possess an active DoD Secret clearance. The role includes a variety of responsibilities from subsystem design to mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with missile radar or RF seeker subsystems.
• Strong understanding of thermal, electrical, and microwave physics dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and architect radar and RF subsystem solutions.
• Evaluate hardware designs for radar seekers.
• Conduct technical peer reviews as a subject matter expert.
