Job summary
TE Connectivity is seeking a Principal R&D/Product Development Engineer in Middletown, PA to lead a regional/global SI engineering team focused on high-speed products for datacenter and wireless systems. You will drive SI design, simulations, and validation while aligning with the technology roadmap and market needs.
The role requires a strong background in electromagnetic theory, PCB/ RF design, and extensive leadership experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
- 10+ years in electrical design, RF design, or PCB design.
- Minimum of 3 years progressive leadership and people management in regional environments.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and circuit behavior.
- Expert in signal integrity analysis tools and methods.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of regional/global signal integrity engineers in design performance requirements for new products.
- Lead simulations for multiple high-speed standards on each product and define methodologies.
- Guide connector design and qualifications from a SI perspective with data-driven decisions.
- Create actionable recommendations from design reviews and simulation results.
- Communicate actions and impacts clearly to stakeholders including management and customers.
- Align technology roadmap with market trends and customer needs; implement accordingly.
- Foster a culture of innovation leveraging traditional and external knowledge.
- Lead a diverse SI engineering team, coaching, and balancing workload to achieve objectives.
- Prioritize employee wellbeing and provide flexibility to balance work and life.
