Job summary

Taulia seeks a hands-on principal quality engineer who writes code weekly and leads cross‑team quality initiatives within the engineering group. You will build test tooling and data setups, migrating from a legacy centralised suite to per‑domain frameworks, with a focus on secure-by-design and AI integration.

As a principal engineer, you will mentor others, design end‑to‑end testing strategies, and drive quality across multiple teams while collaborating with engineering directors.

Qualifications

• Expert in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Ability to write production‑grade code in more than one language.
• Advanced knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases, release pipelines, and monitoring.
• Architectural Literacy: ability to critique technical designs.
• Ability to influence long-term quality risks without authority.

Responsibilities

• Own testing of projects that span two or more teams, from planning to execution.
• Build reusable test data and environment tooling for cross-team projects.
• Identify quality risks that cross team boundaries and ensure coverage.
• Migrate from legacy end-to-end suite to per-domain frameworks.
• Collaborate with principal quality engineers and engineering directors on org‑level initiatives.
• Write, review, and maintain test and framework code.
• Contribute to shared test tooling and data utilities.
• Design and implement tests with teams without dedicated QE.
• Debug flaky and failing tests to root cause.
• Review specifications against implementations and tests to catch gaps.
