JTL-Software GmbH is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to shape testing strategy, own automation frameworks, and scale quality across product areas. You will collaborate with engineers and leadership to elevate testing practices and leverage AI-assisted tools in daily work.

The role emphasizes remote-first work with flexible Germany-based options, ongoing learning, and mentoring opportunities, plus strong collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in test automation and quality engineering.
• Strong understanding of complex software systems and quality risks beyond specific features.
• Experience designing and evolving test automation, CI/CD, coverage, merge gates, flaky tests and fast feedback.
• Track record mentoring engineers and QAs and influencing decisions through expertise.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills for systemic quality issues.
• Excellent written and spoken English and good German skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of test automation within your product area, including frameworks and tooling.
• Drive quality strategy for your area and identify systemic risks in the platform.
• Define and track quality metrics to improve engineering practices.
• Act as a technical sparring partner in architecture and design reviews with quality considerations.
• Tackle API, integration, performance, load testing and release regression strategies.
• Lead root-cause analysis for incidents and improve tests, processes, and architecture.
• Mentor engineers and QAs to raise testing maturity across the team.
• Use AI assistants to scale test automation, analysis, and documentation.
