Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Principal Project Manager to lead Instrumentation and Control projects in the Americas ICSPortfolio (Southern Nuclear). You will drive planning, execution and stakeholder engagement with I&C teams, reporting to the Program Manager, Southern Nuclear ICSPortfolio.

This hybrid role is based in Warrendale, PA with relocation assistance available within the US. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience, familiarity with PMI PMBOK, PMP certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience developing and implementing scope, schedule and budget plans.
• Familiarity with PMI's PMBOK; PMI PMP certification or in progress.
• Experience in the commercial nuclear industry preferred.
• Ability to travel to customer sites periodically.

Responsibilities

• Act as CEO of your project and own project performance and delivery.
• Manage processes on medium/high complexity projects for I&C scope.
• Coordinate resource planning, schedule status, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Coordinate project updates with Southern Nuclear ICSPortfolio leadership.

• Manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources and communications.
• Document learning and best practices with the CAP program.
• Foster relationships with teams and stakeholders to support growth.
• Support financial planning with budget tracking and forecasts.

About the role:

As a Principal Project Manager in our Americas ICSPortfolio (Southern Nuclear) group, you will participate in the planning, execution, and leadership of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) activities for a portfolio of I&C Projects for our Southern Nuclear customer. You will work closely with I&C technical teams and project leadership to manage engagements with key stakeholders.

You will report to the Program Manager, Southern Nuclear ICSPortfolio. This is a hybrid role that can be performed from our Warrendale, PA facility. Relocation assistance is available within the US.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as CEO of your project and take overall ownership and accountability for project performance and delivery.
• Responsible for all project management processes on medium or high complexity projects, directly supporting the I&C managed scope for offers and project execution. Support proposal process for upcoming opportunities, as assigned.
• Coordinate resource planning activities, schedule status and modifications, and provide reporting to internal and external stakeholders for projects.
• Coordinate project updates with internal leadership for the Southern Nuclear ICSPortfolio team.
• Working with Project Engineers, system leads, and managers to develop and oversee project data in a collaborative environment using Microsoft applications.
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources, and communications.
• Document learning and best practices using the CAP program.
• Cultivate positive relationships with teams, and project stakeholders (e.g. internal management) in a collaborative matrix environment to facilitate successful project completion and identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
• Support financial planning through accurate budget tracking, spending forecasts, and cost reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
• Prior relevant technical and project management experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of collaborative data management, automation, and formatting techniques using Microsoft applications.
• 5+ years of experience developing and implementing scope, schedule and budget plans to successful completion.
• Familiarity with the Project Management Institute (PMI)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge required. PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other approved equivalent complete or in progress.
• Experience with the commercial nuclear industry and business acumen are preferred.
• Ability to travel to customer sites periodically for meetings, walkdowns, or emergent support.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
