Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Instrumentation and Control (I&C) activities for a portfolio serving the Southern Nuclear customer. You will report to the Program Manager, Southern Nuclear IC Portfolio, with a hybrid work setup from Warrendale, PA and relocation assistance available within the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
• Prior relevant technical and/or project management experience
• Strong technical knowledge of collaborative data management, automation, and formatting techniques using Microsoft applications
• Experience developing and implementing scope, schedule and budget plans to successful completion
• Familiarity with PMI PMBOK; should possess an interest in pursuing PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other approved equivalent, but not required for the role
• Experience with the commercial nuclear industry and business acumen preferred
• Ability to travel to customer sites periodically for meetings, walkdowns, or emergent support

• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources, and communications.
• Document learning and best practices using the CAP program.
• Cultivate relationships with teams and project stakeholders in a matrix environment to facilitate successful project completion and identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
• Support financial planning through accurately tracking and forecasting spending.

About the role:

As a Senior Project Manager in our Americas IC Project Portfolio (Southern Nuclear) group, you will participate in the planning, execution, and leadership of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) activities for a portfolio of I&C Projects for our Southern Nuclear customer. You will work closely with I&C technical teams and project leadership to manage engagements with key stakeholders.

You will report to the Program Manager, Southern Nuclear IC Portfolio. This is a hybrid role that can be performed primarily from our Warrendale, PA facility. Relocation assistance is available within the US.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all project management processes on low or medium complexity projects, or assisting the lead project manager on high complexity project processes, directly supporting the I&C managed scope for offers and project execution. Support proposal process for upcoming opportunities, as assigned.
• Coordinate resource planning activities, schedule status and modifications, and provide monthly reporting to internal stakeholders for projects.
• Coordinate project updates with internal leadership for the Southern Nuclear IC project team
• Working with Project Engineers, system leads, and managers to develop and oversee project data in a collaborative environment using Microsoft applications,
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources, and communications.
• Document learning and best practices using the CAP program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
• Prior relevant technical and/or project management experience
• Strong technical knowledge of collaborative data management, automation, and formatting techniques using Microsoft applications
• Experience developing and implementing scope, schedule and budget plans to successful completion
• Familiarilty with the Project Management Institute (PMI)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge required. Should possess an interest in pursuing PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other approved equivalent, but not this certification is not required for the role
• Experience with the commercial nuclear industry and business acumen are preferred
• Ability to travel to customer sites periodically for meetings, walkdowns, or emergent support

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200.00 to $106,500.00 per year.
