Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the AmericasICS Project Portfolio (Southern Nuclear) to lead Instrumentation and Control (I&C) projects. The role is hybrids based in Warrendale, PA with relocation assistance available within the US and reports to the Program Manager, Southern Nuclear IC Portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (PM, Engineering, Business, Construction Management)
• Relevant project management experience
• Strong knowledge of data management, automation and formatting using Microsoft applications
• Experience creating and implementing scope, schedule and budget plans
• Familiarity with PMI PMI PMBOK; PMP is a plus but not required
• Experience in the nuclear industry and ability to travel to customer sites

About the role:

As a Senior Project Manager in our AmericasICS Project Portfolio (Southern Nuclear) group, you will participate in the planning, execution, and leadership of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) activities for a portfolio of I&C Projects for our Southern Nuclear customer. You will work closely with I&C technical teams and project leadership to manage engagements with key stakeholders.

You will report to the Program Manager, Southern Nuclear IC Portfolio. This is a hybrid role that can be performed primarily from our Warrendale, PA facility. Relocation assistance is available within the US.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all project management processes on low or medium complexity projects, or assisting the lead project manager on high complexity project processes, directly supporting the I&C managed scope for offers and project execution. Support proposal process for upcoming opportunities, as assigned.
• Coordinate resource planning activities, schedule status and modifications, and provide monthly reporting to internal stakeholders for projects.
• Coordinate project updates with internal leadership for the Southern Nuclear ICS project team
• Working with Project Engineers, system leads, and managers to develop and oversee project data in a collaborative environment using Microsoft applications,
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources, and communications.
• Document learning and best practices using the CAP program.
• Cultivate relationships with teams and project stakeholders (e.g. internal management) in a matrix environment to facilitate successful project completion and identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
• Support financial planning through accurately tracking and forecasting spending.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
• Prior relevant technical and/or project management experience
• Strong technical knowledge of collaborative data management, automation, and formatting techniques using Microsoft applications
• Experience developing and implementing scope, schedule and budget plans to successful completion
• Familiarilty with the Project Management Institute (PMI)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge required. Should possess an interest in pursuing PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other approved equivalent, but not this certification is not required for the role
• Experience with the commercial nuclear industry and business acumen are preferred
• Ability to travel to customer sites periodically for meetings, walkdowns, or emergent support

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200.00 to $106,500.00 per year.
