Job summary

TYLin International in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Principal Project Manager to lead construction management on diverse projects from our LA office and client sites.

You will apply project specs, prepare cost estimates, coordinate with contractors and agencies, review submittals, and ensure on-time delivery while upholding safety and contract compliance. A Bachelor's in engineering and a P.E. license with 10+ years of road/bridge experience are required; LA Metro experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• P.E. license required with 10+ years of relevant road and bridge construction experience.
• Experience overseeing staff and coordinating with clients and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the application of project specifications and the execution of plans.
• Provide written progress, technical and special issues reports as required.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for the different activities required for the project.
• Review daily inspection reports, materials sampling and testing documentation for acceptance
• Work with the contractor on coordination of work.
• Manage project documentation and assure contract compliance with contract requirements.
• Perform independent analysis of other construction-related submittals and plans.
• Negotiate, draft and review change orders
• Review construction progress schedule and ensure projects are completed on schedule
• Abide by and enforce construction safety rules and regulations.
• Review contractor pay estimates and submittals.
• Direct field inspection/support staff and train / mentor staff members on project / technical matters.
• Conduct daily and weekly communication with Agency personnel and other senior staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Our Construction Management team is seeking a Principal Project Manager to serve as a project lead/construction manager on various projects in Los Angeles. This position will be based out of our office in Los Angeles, CA and supporting at our client site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field.
• P.E. license required and at least 10+ years of experience with the concepts and practices with complex road and bridge construction, or proof of eligibility for reciprocity in the State of California, at the time of appointment.
• Must be experienced in oversight of company and local agency staff and sub consultants and have the ability to effectively and efficiently work with the clients to assist in the resolution of project issues.
• Must be able to write effective and concise reviews comments, and reports.
• Must be able to articulately work with Contractors and other team members to effectively resolve field issues.
• Previous construction management experience for LA Metro projects, or projects that had LA Metro oversight, is a preferred.

Additional Information

T.Y. Lin International is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $197,600 - $296,400 annually for this position and local market.
