Job summary

KBR is seeking a Principal Project Controls Manager to lead enterprise-level cost, schedule, change, risk, and performance management for major EPC/EPCM capital projects. You will establish a single source of truth for project performance and advise senior leaders on forecasts, recovery plans, and commercial positions.

The role requires 18+ years of controls experience, expert EVM capability, and strong leadership across dispersed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 18+ years of progressive project controls experience on major EPC or EPCM capital projects.
• 8+ years leading integrated project controls functions on complex projects or programs exceeding $1B.
• Expert in earned value management, forecasting methodology, and progress measurement in an EPC setting.

Responsibilities

• Own the project controls strategy and governance across cost, schedule, change, risk, and performance management.
• Define and maintain cost control baseline; manage CBS mapping to WBS and GL; produce monthly cost reports.
• Set planning standards; ensure integrated cost and schedule baselines with stage-gate readiness.
• Own end-to-end Change Control Board processes; drive timely, justified changes with cost/schedule impact.
• Maintain and challenge project risk register; perform quantitative risk analysis (Monte Carlo).
• Define and deliver Integrated reporting: KPI calendar, dashboard suite, and EV-based forecasting.
• Provide commercial input to tenders, contracts, and supplier/subcontractor submissions.
• Own project controls toolset and data governance (Primavera P6, SAP, Power BI); enforce data integrity.
• Build, mentor, and lead project controls teams across disciplines.
