Job summary

Hut 8 Technologies seeks a Principal, Project Controls to own cost, schedule, and financial governance for large data-center construction programs in North America. You will manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting, collaborating with FP&A, Treasury, and field teams.

Expect 25%+ travel to active sites and direct interaction with executives. The role requires 4–7+ years in project controls on $500M+ programs, a relevant bachelor's degree, and a proven ability to challenge peers with data-driven

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, construction finance, or FP&A for large capital projects.
• Experience on projects of $500M+ total installed cost with embedded delivery teams.
• Strong ability to influence project managers, contractors, and senior stakeholders using data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own project controls for $100M+ capital projects: budgets, cost tracking, forecasting and cash flow projections.
• Develop and pressure-test estimates from concept to GMP and buyout; reconcile against actuals.
• Review pay apps, change orders, and invoices for compliance and budget alignment.
• Prepare weekly status reports and monthly portfolio reporting for executives.
