Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Product Strategist, Principal within the Research and Development team. You will lead how we measure and learn from technology-enabled care models, set the data strategy for each pathway, and connect clinical, technology, and analytics teams to turn results into strategic recommendations.

This high-visibility role reports to the Director of Research and Development and will shape early-stage program strategy as it evolves, with hybrid work and opportunities

Qualifications

• Design outcomes measurement for healthcare programs and define KPIs.
• Translate results into financial impact for business partners.
• Lead cross-functional work across clinical, technology, and analytics teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the measurement strategy for ACCESS-aligned pathways and define indicators and evaluation design.
• Set and lead the data strategy including data capture, structuring and linkage across systems.
• Bridge clinical, technology and analytics teams and translate findings for leaders.
• Design reporting cadence and dashboards to track pathway performance and costs.
• Advise senior leadership with evidence-based recommendations on scaling or modifying care models.
• Evaluate potential partners’ claims and data capabilities to inform decisions.
• Stay current on real-world evidence, payment models and emerging tech-enabled care solutions.
