Job summary

Blue Shield of CA seeks a Principal Product Strategist for the R&D division, reporting to the Director. You will define how we measure and learn from our technology-enabled care models, setting data strategy for each pathway and coordinating clinical, technology, and analytics teams to shape strategies and scaling decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Master's degree in public health, health services research, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of healthcare or life sciences experience with payer/provider/digital health.
• Experience designing outcomes measurement for healthcare programs including KPIs and financial impact.
• Track record of leading cross-functional work across clinical, technology, and analytics teams.
• Experience building reporting, dashboards, or analytics products for internal/external stakeholders in HIPAA environments.
• Strong executive communication to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Experience evaluating digital or device-enabled care models, including AI-enabled products preferred.
• Familiarity with value-based or outcomes-based payment models; CMS Innovation Center exposure a plus.
• Peer-reviewed outcomes research or real-world evidence publications preferred.
