Job summary

Talener partners with Confidential Global EdTech Organization to lead the strategy, development, and launch of next-generation assessment and learning experiences, including AI-enabled capabilities, within a postsecondary education platform. This role owns the product area end-to-end, partnering closely with Engineering and UX to balance innovation with the needs of a large existing customer base.

• 6+ years of Product Management experience.
• Experience in modern discovery-driven product organizations.

• Product experience leveraging AI/NLP.
• B2B2C EdTech experience preferred, esp. learning/assessments.
• Experience building 0–1 products and scaling within large organizations.
• Experience in startup and corporate environments.

Principal Product Manager - Core Assessment

Location

100% Remote (U.S.)

The Role

Lead the strategy, development, and launch of next-generation assessment and learning experiences, including AI-enabled capabilities, within a postsecondary education platform. This person will own a product area end-to-end, partner closely with Engineering and UX, and balance innovation with the needs of a large existing customer base.

Must Have Skills

• 6+ years of Product Management experience
• Experience operating in a modern, discovery-driven product organization
• Experience partnering closely with Engineering, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong technical acumen; able to discuss APIs, architecture, and technical tradeoffs without being an engineer
• Data-driven decision maker with experience defining metrics and measuring outcomes
• Product experience leveraging AI capabilities, specifically NLP
• B2B2C product experience required, EdTech experience preferred, ideally involving learning experiences, assessments, or instructional products
• Experience building new products/features (0-1) and scaling them within established organizations
• Experience working for both startup and corporate environments

Plusses

• Experience with assessment platforms or higher education products
• Broader AI/ML exposure beyond generative AI - things like classification models, recommendation engines, or computer vision
• Experience modernizing legacy products while maintaining existing customer adoption
• Experience with AI avatar or conversational experiences

Compensation

• Base Salary: Up to $180,000
• Bonus target: 20% Target
