Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal for Competitive Intelligence within the Cortex Product Management organization. You will bridge the competitive landscape and the Cortex roadmap, applying SATs to ensure our product strategy anticipates next-gen threats and preserves a technical moat.

You will translate deep research into PRDs, influence senior leaders, and collaborate with Enablement to craft proactive counter-narratives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in CI, Product Management, or Sales Engineering within cybersecurity.
• Translate research into PRDs and product roadmaps for leadership review.
• Ability to facilitate analytic sessions and present to executives.
• Understand enterprise security architecture beyond UI, at an architectural level.

Responsibilities

• Use Structured Analytic Techniques to identify competitor pivots and inform Cortex roadmap.
• Own DSPM, CIEM, and ITDR portfolio; translate results into PRDs and prioritize gaps.
• Partner with Enablement Lead to craft counter-narratives against new competitor capabilities.
• Assess competitor tech capabilities to find technical moats and risks of commoditization.
• Provide actionable product feedback to Engineering and PM leadership to reduce friction.
