Principal Process Development Engineer - Electrophysiology

Position Overview

The Principal Process Development Engineer is a technical leader responsible for developing robust manufacturing processes for electrophysiology catheters and sub-assemblies. You will lead process design, development, validation, and ensure smooth transition to production, collaborating cross-functionally across teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead process design, development, and validation activities for medical devices.
2. Resolve complex technical problems and make process decisions independently.
3. Utilize tools like DOE, pFMEA, DFM, and statistics for data-driven decision-making.
4. Mentor engineers and supervise technicians as needed.
5. Develop, implement, and document manufacturing processes for new products.
6. Investigate and integrate new technologies.
7. Collaborate with technicians and operators to troubleshoot and improve processes.
8. Establish and maintain relationships with global/regional teams to share best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 12 years of engineering experience, preferably in medical devices.
• Experience with catheter manufacturing or process development.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering, flex circuits, and ACF bonding is preferred.
• Proven expertise in process development, capability, and validation.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience creating validation protocols and engineering studies.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, mainly between Minnesota, USA, and Costa Rica.

Additional Information
