This position is a technical leader and mentor within the process development team responsible for creating robust and sustainable manufacturing processes for complex electrophysiology catheters and sub-assemblies. As a Senior Engineer, you will provide the technical leadership for the commercial release of products to production by working cross-functionally through the electrophysiology product development process.

The following challenges await you:

1. Provide technical leadership in the execution of the process design, development, and validation activities for medical devices through the product development process.
2. Independently determine solutions for complex problems, process selection decisions, and technical challenges.
3. Utilize process characterization skills and tools such as Design on Experiments (DOE), pFMEA, DFM, and statistics to make data-driven decisions.
4. Mentor other engineers and promote a culture of feedback.
5. Ensure that proper technology processes are developed, implemented, maintained, and documented to successfully introduce new products into manufacturing.
6. Lead efforts to investigate, develop, and implement new technology.
7. Work collaboratively with technicians and operators to solve technical problems.
8. Establish internal global or regional relationships and collaborate to ensure best practices are utilized.
9. Other duties may be assigned.

Your profile:

1. Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or related technical field required.
2. A minimum of 8 years engineering experience required including previous experience in the medical device industry.
3. Expert level knowledge and application of process development.
4. Demonstrated experience of process development, capability, optimization, and validation.
5. Able to communicate complex technical concepts to broad audiences.
6. Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
7. Experience improving processes.
8. Experience creating documents such as process validation protocols or engineering studies that demonstrate technical rationale for associated decisions.
9. Proficient at solving problems in a timely manner.
10. Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% or as needed, mainly between Minnesota, USA and Costa Rica.
11. Catheter manufacturing or process development experience.
12. Electrical Engineering, Flex Circuit, and ACF bonding process development knowledge preferred.

Medevio is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. The expected base salary hiring range for this position is between $108,000.00 and $140,000.00 for Senior, $125,000.00 and $150,000.00 for Principal, based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors into account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, geographic locations, market conditions, and internal equity. This position is bonus eligible, with a target bonus of 10-15% of base salary depending upon company and individual performance. Our total compensation package also includes eligibility for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, education reimbursement, paid parental leave, and paid time off.
