Qualifications

We're retained by a leading global alternative asset manager to hire a Principal within its Digital Infrastructure Value Creation team, reporting to the Head of of the group.

About the Platform

The firm has incubated several leading digital infrastructure platforms, including one of the market's largest hyperscale data center platforms and a second, faster-growing digital infrastructure platform. The Value Creation team oversees investment management across all North America digital infrastructure assets and works closely with each platform's leadership on strategy, governance and value creation, with capital continuously being deployed at the asset level ahead of a significant new fundraise.

The Role

A highly hands-on value creation leadership role that also straddles into the investment team's world - shaping platform strategy and governance while weighing in on live deal activity, without sitting in a pure transaction-execution seat.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working directly with management teams on value creation, governance, strategic partnerships and longer-term exit planning
• Helping shape and execute growth strategies across both platforms
• Staying close to live deal activity, weighing in on pricing, underwriting and structuring as new investments and bolt-ons come through
• Supporting a significant new fundraise, with both platforms expected to be highly active across bolt-on acquisitions and new development
• Acting as a key link between the investment team and portfolio company leadership, ensuring strategy is clearly articulated and management teams remain aligned and accountable
• Weighing in on portfolio company engagement more broadly - helping ensure the platforms are set up for success

Candidate Profile

• 9+ years experience
• Investment background, ideally within digital infrastructure or a related infrastructure sector
• First-hand experience with operating businesses and strong platform-level judgment
• Based in or open to New York, Chicago, or San Francisco
