Job summary

Takeda in Lexington, MA is seeking a Principal Engineer - Data Visualization & Analytics to design and scale Power BI dashboards and analytics products. You will lead complex analytics projects, partner with stakeholders to frame questions, and drive data-driven decisions across the business.

You'll leverage SQL, Python or R, Databricks, and AI/automation to deliver insights, maintain governance and quality, and mentor a small analytics team. This role reports to BIO OPS.

Qualifications

• Education in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in data visualization, BI, analytics, or data science.
• Advanced Power BI skills: DAX, semantic models, security, performance.
• Advanced SQL with complex queries.
• Experience with Python or R for data analysis; ML and Spark helpful.
• Experience with Databricks, SharePoint, Excel, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and semantic models.
• Perform advanced data analysis to support business decisions.
• Communicate insights through visuals and storytelling to stakeholders.
• Define analytics architecture and roadmap for AI and digital solutions.
• Lead analytics projects and coach junior staff.
