Job summary

Tiger Analytics, LLC seeks a senior Power BI Architect to lead our enterprise BI platform design, governance, and implementation. You will define best practices, ensure security and data access, and guide BI engineers across projects.

Responsibilities include modeling, KPI store design, and building scalable dashboards with strong performance. This role requires deep BI experience and leadership in a fast-growing analytics firm.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, incl. BI architecture.
• 5+ years designing enterprise BI with Power BI and related tools.
• Strong governance, security, and data access discipline.
• Proven ability to lead BI engineers and partner teams.

The Power BI Architect will lead thedesign, strategy, and governanceof the enterprise BI platform using Microsoft Power BI and the Azure ecosystem. This role involves assessinginfrastructure requirements, defining best practices, guiding BI Engineers, enabling security, handling large data, and ensuringscalable, high-performing BI solutionsthat align with business needs.

Key Requirements:

• Designscalable BI solutionswith a focus on infrastructure, capacity, and licensing needs.
• Conductcapability assessmentsto align Power BI adoption with enterprise goals.
• Define and enforcePower BI governance frameworks, including security, data access, and workspace strategy.
• Provideeffort estimationsand delivery planning for BI initiatives.
• Design and optimizesemantic/OLAP models(star schema, composite models, aggregations, dataflows) for enterprise-scale reporting.
• Establish and manage acentral metric storefor standardized KPIs and calculations.
• Architect and overseedashboard/report design, ensuring scalability, usability, and consistency across business units.
• Partner withAzure Databricks, Synapse, and Data Lake teamsto enable efficient BI consumption of large data.
• Collaborate withMicrosoft partner teamsto evaluate new capabilities and align with best practices.
• Define and enforceCI/CD strategiesusing Git, Azure DevOps, and deployment pipelines.
• Overseedata refresh automation, monitoring, and troubleshootingat scale.
• Guide and mentor BI Engineers onbest practices in DAX, modeling, performance optimization, and visualization standards.
• Stay current onMicrosoft Fabric, Power BI Premium, and emerging BI trendsto future-proof the BI strategy.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 10+ years of experience inBusiness Intelligence and Data Analytics, with 5+ years inPower BI architecture.
• Proven experience indesigning scalable BI/analytics infrastructure solutions.
• Expertise inPower BI Premium/Fabric, DAX, Power Query (M), Tabular Models, and large semantic/OLAP models.
• Strong knowledge ofAzure Databricks, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL Server.
• Hands-on withCI/CD pipelines (Git, Azure DevOps, deployment pipelines).
• Skilled inrefresh automation, monitoring, and troubleshootinglarge models.
• Strong understanding ofdata governance, compliance, and enterprise security frameworks.
• Excellentcommunication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Experience working withMicrosoft partner teamson solution alignment and best practices.
