Job summary

Upstart is seeking a Principal Product Manager, Monetization to partner with ML and cross‑functional teams to optimize pricing, fees, and monetization across loan products. You will design experiments, set strategic pricing roadmaps, and drive outcomes that balance customer value with revenue growth.

You will work with Engineering, Risk, Finance, and Legal to implement fair, transparent pricing across multiple product lines while pursuing performance targets and market leadership.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in a marketplace product management role leading initiatives in pricing, monetization, matching, routing and incentives.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate with all levels of the organization from C‑level to individual contributors.
• Ability to persuade, negotiate, and build consensus across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own fee and pricing mechanisms across Upstart's loan products and revenue models.
• Incorporate competitive and customer insights to optimize pricing and ensure fairness and transparency at scale.
• Set pricing strategy and roadmap with ML, Risk, Legal/Compliance, Finance, and Engineering across product lines.
• Drive higher revenue and trust by delivering pricing improvements that benefit customers.
