Job summary

Workday is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own an AI agent system from concept through GA at enterprise scale. You will prototype, validate, and scale agent solutions across finance and HCM, working closely with engineering, customers, and executives.

This role demands hands-on depth in agent architectures, strong judgment in regulated environments, and the ability to drive alignment across multiple functions for a fast-moving portfolio. Primary location: Pleasanton, CA; hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of product management experience.
• 5+ years in SaaS/B2B enterprise software.
• Direct experience building and shipping external, revenue generating AI forward product and/or agent systems to production.
• Deep technical acumen to evaluate agent architectures and debug failure modes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across engineering, customers, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Own an AI agent end-to-end from concept through GA.
• Prototype and validate agent concepts rapidly using real customer data.
• Design production-quality agent systems in collaboration with engineering for reliability and auditability.
• Run customer discovery and early adopter programs to validate value and reduce risk.
• Identify high ROI agent opportunities in finance and HCM and advocate internally.
• Define measurable value outcomes and evaluation frameworks for agent impact.
• Collaborate with domain PMs to understand workflows and where agents unlock value.
• Communicate agent vision and progress to executives and customers.
