The Customer Outcomes team at ServiceNow works with customers to help them achieve their business outcomes by providing Customer Success services. The team’s purpose is to accelerate customers’ adoption of the ServiceNow platform, enabling customers to realize value faster, reduce costs, and reduce risks.

The Role

The Customer Outcomes Platform Architect is an advisory role, responsible for helping our customers establish a strong technical foundation in the ServiceNow Platform and design solutions that drive business outcomes. This entails establishing and supporting best practices around instance strategy, technical governance, core data, integrations, and the overall health of the platform. This is a highly consultative role that does not perform configuration on the platform but guides both partner and customer resources to achieve their goals through leading practices. The role interfaces with customers across executive levels, platform owners, enterprise architects, and development teams during sales, structuring, implementation, and ongoing operations related to ServiceNow solutions.

An ideal candidate will have experience working as an enterprise architect with a successful track record in management consulting, either in professional services firms or cloud software companies. They should have demonstrated the ability to become a trusted advisor to senior executives, facilitating customer success through strategic or annual planning, business value identification, road mapping, and advising on successful execution strategies including governance frameworks and managing large enterprise programs.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Develop strong relationships with C-suite and business leaders to understand the client’s vision and how ServiceNow fits into their digital transformation journey. Translate business objectives into outcomes via a visual customer roadmap.
  • Interact with customer architecture teams (enterprise and solution architects) to:
    • Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints to achieve complex business objectives.
    • Position ServiceNow as the system of action to enable the digital transformation roadmap.
    • Establish and advise on technical governance domains and processes.
    • Guide platform health by reviewing and guiding the remediation of configurations and customizations that do not align with best practices.
    • Work with clients and ServiceNow teams to establish delivery operating model governance to ensure successful go-lives, user adoption, and support.
    • Advocate for ServiceNow’s advisory practices and industry use cases.
    • Contribute thought leadership through methodologies and white papers on optimizing customer outcomes.
    • Guide customers through solution design and manage technical implementation decision points.
    • Define solutions across the platform that match capabilities delivered.

Qualifications

  • Experience in integrating AI into workflows, decision-making, or problem-solving, including using AI tools, automating workflows, or analyzing AI-driven insights.
  • Management consulting experience, preferably in Big 4, strategy firms, OEM software, or cloud companies.
  • 3+ years in management consulting leadership roles focused on technology (Digital/SaaS/Enterprise Software).
  • Experience as an enterprise architect in Fortune 500, OEM software, or cloud companies.
  • Proven ability to work with business leaders to develop outcome-focused roadmaps and guide large consulting organizations.
  • 3+ years of experience leading architecture and design in large programs.
  • Experience as an enterprise or solution architect, including data modeling, security, integrations, and configuration management.
  • Experience with cloud systems like Salesforce, Workday, AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, with 1-2 years of ServiceNow platform experience required.
