Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field with 5 years of related experience or Master's with 3 years; 4 years in lieu of degree.
• Drafting and design experience of PCB layout and layer stack-up (analog, digital, RF, mixed signal).
• Knowledge of industry specs and DFM rules for PCB design, fabrication and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PCB design rules for 2–20 layers from prototype to production.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to lead PCB design reviews with engineers and program management.
• Ability to interface with various departments across programs.
• US Citizen with ability to obtain a US government secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Layout components and route electrical conductors for complex PCBs and flex circuits.
• Interface with electrical and mechanical engineers for component placement and mechanical fitment.
• Design to electrical requirements and manufacturability standards.
• Calculate layer stack-up based on standards, suppliers, and requirements.
• Generate bare PWB and assembled CCA drawings and BOMs.
• Assist in component selection to reduce supply chain risks.
• Create electronic data outputs for fabrication and manufacturing.
• Understand electrical/mechanical behavior to inform layout decisions (impedance, diff pairs, stresses).
• Maintain CAD libraries for PCB mounted components.
• Address technical queries with suppliers and review PCB documentation in PLM workflows.
• Generate and incorporate PCB engineering change notices.
• Collaborate to refine PCB engineering workflow.
