Job summary

What You Will Do

• Baseline factory metrics (scrap, rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast future demand for top drivers and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
• Drive manufacturing quality through hardware inspection, working hands on with the product and cross functional team to drive root cause corrective action.
• Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation.
• Engage manufacturing defect prevention teams to ensure alignment on top priorities (using baseline data and future forecast) to drive containment, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Lead and drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand with the ability to perform verification/validation of improvements and efficiencies.
• Identify supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and backflow to the Supplier Quality Management team.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Requires a bachelor’s in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study, and a minimum of eight (8) years related experience.
• Experience in identifying root cause, initiating and implementing effective short‑term and long‑term corrective actions in a cross‑functional process improvement environment.
• Experience in development and use of quality metrics that may be used to drive true root cause and long‑term corrective action, and in the identification and institution of perceptive verifications.
• Experience in manufacturing process with industry technical standards, interpreting drawings and work instructions.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• J‑STD‑001, Six Sigma, Lean experience and/or ASQ certifications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of key process characteristics and ability to implement effective process control techniques.
• Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
• Proficient in the use of pareto analysis, cause and effect diagrams, process mapping.
• Able to facilitate cross‑functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. Six‑sigma and lean manufacturing).

This position is classified as Onsite. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Salary range for this role is USD 107,500 – 204,500.
