Job summary

Raytheon is seeking an experienced quality/ops professional to lead supplier quality initiatives on site in a DoD environment. The role emphasizes RCCA, ISO 9001/AS9100, and hardware inspection with the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

You will drive root-cause analysis, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support continuous improvement across programs. The position requires a STEM degree and extensive experience in quality/operations, with on-site responsibilities at RTX

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years in Quality/Operations or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools and processes.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead rapid resolution of supplier-caused issues impacting the factory; coordinate with quality and cross-functional teams.
  • Represent supplier assurance as onsite interface to Raytheon factories.
  • Analyze material non-conformance metrics and develop action plans for top/systemic drivers.
  • Ensure defect documentation accuracy and perform robust root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
  • Assist with quarantine, containment, and screening of suspect defective hardware.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do
  • Utilize analytical capabilities and communications skills to lead rapid resolution of supplier caused issues impacting the factory, working with other quality functions and cross-functional teams.
  • Represent supplier assurance as the onsite interface to Raytheon factories supporting factory tier meetings, layered process assessments, and nonconforming material reviews.
  • Analyze supplied material non-conformance metrics and develop action plans to address top and systemic drivers.
  • Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring accuracy of defect documentation, robust root-cause analysis, and corrective solutions are fully implemented
  • Assist with quarantine, containment and screening of suspect defective supplied hardware.
  • Work projects to achieve continuous improvement goals.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) eight (8) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools and processes
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
  • Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
  • Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery
  • High computer proficiency, including skills working with SAP/ PRISM and Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)

This position is classified as: Onsite employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Clearance Information

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
