Job summary

Leidos in the Intel Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area seeks a Principal Network Evaluator to strengthen enterprise security and mission capabilities through defense, vulnerability assessment, and threat investigation.

You will analyze networks, perform vulnerability assessments, support government stakeholders, and provide actionable recommendations to improve cyber resilience and incident response capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus eleven (11) years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
  • Strong networking knowledge (Cisco, Juniper, Arista devices and protocols).
  • Experience with computer network defense, vulnerability assessment, incident response, packet analysis, SIEM technologies, and cybersecurity analysis.
  • Practical experience with Splunk, Elastic, Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar network analysis and SIEM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive computer network defense activities by analyzing systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities, detect intrusion, monitor security events, assess attack surfaces, and develop action plans to mitigate cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders to identify network vulnerabilities, investigate cyber threats, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Produce comprehensive reports and recommendations for Government stakeholders.

Job description

Leidos is seeking a Principal Network Evaluator in our Intel Sector’s Cyber & Analytics Business Area. This role focuses on computer network defense, identifying vulnerabilities, investigating threats, conducting security operations, and providing actionable recommendations to strengthen enterprise security and mission capabilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct proactive computer network defense activities by analyzing systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities, detect intrusion, monitor security events, assess attack surfaces, and develop action plans to mitigate cyber threats.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools, analyze routing devices, traffic, and audit logs; conduct packet analysis; research emerging technologies and vulnerabilities; support digital forensics and exploitation analysis; document findings and produce comprehensive reports and recommendations for Government stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Government stakeholders to identify network vulnerabilities, investigate cyber threats, and provide actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus eleven (11) years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
  • Strong networking knowledge (Cisco, Juniper, Arista devices and protocols); analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with computer network defense, vulnerability assessment, incident response, packet analysis, SIEM technologies, and cybersecurity analysis.
  • Experience researching system vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Practical experience with Splunk, Elastic, Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar network analysis and SIEM tools.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
  • Desirable: Hunt/Blue Team experience; proficiency with Network Defense Integrity Methodology, digital forensics, intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST cybersecurity frameworks, scripting languages.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, CISSP).
Benefits and Compensation

Competitive pay range $131,300.00 – $237,350.00. Benefits include paid time off, 11 paid holidays, 401(k) with 6% match, flexible schedules, stock purchase plan, technical training and education support, parental paid leave, and health and wellness programs.

Sign‑On Incentives

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a cash sign‑on bonus up to $25,000 or a paid time off bonus.
