Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our elite team supporting mission-critical national security programs. The role spans cybersecurity, network engineering, and advanced analytics to defend vital operations.

You will lead troubleshooting, optimize performance, design secure architectures, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across cross-functional teams on mission-driven solutions. A TS/SCI with Polygraph is required and growth opportunities abound.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of network engineering experience or equivalent expertise.
• Bachelors degree in a technical field or 5 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong experience in network design, optimization, and security.
• CCNA and CCNP certifications required.
• Proven ability to lead technical efforts and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our elite team supporting mission-critical national security programs. In this role, you’ll work at the forefront of cybersecurity, network engineering, and advanced analytics helping defend and enable some of the nation's most vital operations.

What You’ll Do

• Leading advanced network troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Analyzing and optimizing network performance, latency, and throughput
• Designing and implementing scalable, secure network architectures
• Working with technologies such as:
  • Routing protocols & BGP
  • Policy-based routing & traffic shaping
  • IPSec tunneling & NAT
  • Firewalls, load balancing, and WAN optimization
• Evaluating and integrating emerging networking technologies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-driven solutions
• Mentoring junior engineers (Levels 0-2) and ensuring engineering excellence

What You Bring

• 12-15 years of network engineering experience (or equivalent expertise)
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or 5 additional years of experience in lieu of degree)

Pay Range

Pay range: $116,350.00 - $210,325.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreements (if any) or other law.
