Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure seeks a Principal Network Engineer to join the AI Infrastructure - Network Operations team. You will design, deploy, and manage large-scale global networks, including RDMA/RoCE fabrics, to support OCI's AI, GPU, and HPC services.

Lead complex projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product management, engineering, and vendors to ensure security, reliability, and optimal performance in a fast-paced cloud environment.

Qualifications

• The candidate must possess a strong background in large-scale network operations with design, troubleshooting, and management experience.
• Proven expertise in routing and switching technologies (BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, MPLS) is essential.
• Experience with network automation tools (Python, Ansible, APIs) and observability practices is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle management of network infrastructure projects with objective-driven deployment plans.
• Translate designs into scalable deployment strategies ensuring operational readiness.
• Act as technical lead for moderately complex network projects across teams.
• Design and support network solutions across data centers, backbone, cloud, and service provider networks.
