Job summary

Montera is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to own architecture, security, and governance of all Montera-operated networking—from corporate IT to OT and guest networks—and the secure demarcation to customer-managed fabrics. This role leads IP strategy, firewalls, and data-access models across the fleet.

You will collaborate with Controls engineering, drive standardization, and define routing, DNS, and segmentation for a multi-site, single-tenant environment, supporting AI/compute networking

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing and operating data center networks in hyperscale or regulated environments.
• Experience with RIR/ARIN address applications, ASN, and multi-site IPAM.
• Expertise in IT/OT firewall, segmentation, and secure-remote-access across BMS/SCADA/DCIM.
• Proven ability define single-tenant demarcation and secure data-access models.
• Strong customer-facing skills translating requirements into designs and clear demarcation models.

Responsibilities

• Own and standardize all Montera-operated networks: IT, OT, Guest, and Wi‑Fi.
• Define segmentation, zoning, and isolation across IT, OT, and customer domains.
• Establish redundancy and survivability standards for mission-critical services.
• Own the public IP strategy, IPAM governance, and ASN/BGP strategy across sites.
• Design firewall architecture and secure remote-access patterns; ensure policy compliance.
• Lead vendor evaluations for network OEMs and security hardware; drive standardization.
