Job summary

Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Principal to provide advanced OT/IT and cyber security expertise to support regulatory compliance assignments addressing physical and electronic security. This role is hybrid, based in our downtown Chicago office, with some travel and no direct reports.

The ideal candidate offers extensive NERC CIP experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable guidance for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Cyber Security or related discipline with an engineering/power system focus.
• 10+ years of IT/OT and cyber security technical experience.
• 5+ years of direct NERC CIP program implementation experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently drive end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of deliverables for program continuous improvement and policy advocacy.
• Provide information and guidance on operational technology, cyber security, networking, and SCADA for compliance fitness.
• Support RTO/ISO and NERC CIP performance demonstration obligations.
• Oversee maintenance of NERC CIP policies, procedures, and job aids.
• Develop and deliver NERC training to internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay aware of emerging utility and cyber security developments via benchmarking.
