Job summary

Unity is seeking a Principal Mobile App Developer to architect and lead a standalone B2C mobile application that serves as a premier destination for players to discover games, track playtime, milestones, and earn real-world rewards. You will build a highly gamified storefront atop Unity’s extensive backend ML and data infrastructure.

You will mentor senior mobile engineers, shape the technology stack, and own high-frequency release pipelines to deliver a top-tier consumer experience at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in mobile development at scale.
• Experience with native (Swift/Kotlin) or cross‑platform (React Native/Flutter).
• Deep understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, VIPER and performance profiling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture of the mobile client (iOS/Android) for a greenfield rewards app.
• Build highly engaging, gamified UI/UX components and real-time wallet balances.
• Integrate the consumer app with Unity backend event pipelines and ML attribution models.
• Architect robust on-device state management for virtual currencies and offline/online syncing.
• Collaborate with ML/backend teams to implement secure, tamper-proof event tracking.
• Mentor senior mobile engineers and define CI/CD and release pipelines for rapid updates.
