Job summary

Unity Technologies SF is seeking a Principal Mobile App Developer to architect and lead a standalone B2C mobile application that helps players discover games, track playtime and milestones, and earn real-world rewards.

You will build the gamified storefront atop Unity’s backend ML/data, set the tech stack, state management, and high-performance architecture while mentoring senior engineers and shaping CI/CD for frequent updates.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building native Swift/Kotlin or cross-platform mobile apps at scale.
• Experience with gamification, loyalty or wallet features is a must.
• Strong understanding of mobile performance profiling and memory management.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect the mobile client (iOS/Android) for a greenfield consumer rewards app.
• Build highly engaging, gamified UI/UX components and real-time wallet features.
• Integrate the app with Unity backend event pipelines and ML attribution models.
• Architect robust on-device state management for currencies and offline/online syncing.
• Lead technical direction, CI/CD, and release pipelines for rapid iterations.
