Job summary

Unity in San Francisco seeks a Principal Mobile App Developer to architect and lead a standalone B2C mobile app for a premier gaming storefront. You will drive tech decisions, craft a highly gamified consumer experience, and integrate with Unity’s massive backend ML and data infrastructure.

You will mentor engineers, shape CI/CD pipelines, and own a high-frequency release cycle while ensuring performance and reliability at 60fps across iOS/Android.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of native Swift/Kotlin or cross‑platform mobile app experience.
• Experience with gamification, loyalty or fintech features on high DAU/MAU apps.
• Strong knowledge of modern mobile architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture, VIPER).

Responsibilities

• Design and architect the mobile client (iOS/Android) for a greenfield consumer rewards app.
• Develop highly engaging, gamified UI/UX components and features.
• Integrate the app with Unity’s backend event-pipelines and ML models.
• Architect robust on-device state management for currencies and offline syncing.
• Collaborate with ML/backend teams on secure event tracking and anti-fraud measures.
• Mentor senior mobile engineers and define CI/CD for rapid releases.
