Unity is seeking a Principal Mobile App Developer to architect and lead a standalone B2C mobile app for discovering games, tracking playtime and milestones, and earning real‑world rewards. You will build a highly gamified storefront atop Unity’s backend ML and data infrastructure.

The role requires 8+ years in mobile apps, deep expertise in native or cross‑platform frameworks, and a passion for performance and user experience. Excellent leadership and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building native or cross‑platform mobile apps at scale.
• Proven track record with gamification, loyalty, or fintech/wallet features.
• Deep understanding of modern mobile architecture patterns and performance profiling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Architecture: design the mobile client (iOS/Android) for a greenfield consumer rewards app.
• Develop highly engaging, gamified UI/UX components and real‑time wallet balances.
• Integrate the consumer app with Unity backend event pipelines and ML attribution models.
• Architect robust on‑device state management for virtual currencies and offline/online syncing.
• Collaborate with ML and backend teams to implement secure, tamper‑proof event tracking.
• Mentor senior mobile engineers and define CI/CD and release pipelines for rapid updates.
