Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Principal/Manufacturing Engineer at Level 2 or 3 to join the Launch Systems Manufacturing Integration Team. This 100% onsite role requires a Secret clearance and focuses on designing efficient production layouts, processes, and tooling for assembly and testing.

You will drive DFM, MES work instructions, and quality assurance with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of related experience or Master’s degree with 0+ years.
• Experience with MES work instructions and DFM concepts.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (NX) and factory layout planning.
• Proven track record in manufacturing processes and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing processes, layouts and production sequences.
• Incorporate inspection/test requirements into production plans.
• Support Design For Manufacturing and use MES work instructions.
• Adapt machine/equipment designs to production conditions and ensure compliance.
