Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Principal Mechanical Product Manager to define the what and why of our mechanical strategy for next-generation infrastructure. You will own system-level requirements, lead cross-functional alignment, and drive platform decisions for scalable, cost-effective data-center solutions.

You will broker the front-end requirements, build robust business cases, and ensure global compliance while coordinating with engineering, sourcing, and construction teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of end to end product delivery experience.
• Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience.
• Strong working knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and mechanical packaging.

Responsibilities

• System-Level Ownership: Own and understand how mechanical designs impact the broader infrastructure and propose integrated solutions.
• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and communicate a multi-year vision and roadmap for advanced mechanical infrastructure products.
• Modular Standardization: Standardize mechanical systems into modular, prefabricated skids to compress on-site timelines.
• Global Compliance & Localization: Ensure compatibility across global zones with differing building codes and climates.
• Strategic Alignment & Vision: Lead the definition of challenges at facility and product levels with cross-functional stakeholders.
