Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Principal Product Manager with deep mechanical infrastructure expertise to shape strategy for next‑generation infrastructure and facility systems. You will translate business goals into engineered, scalable, and cost‑effective designs across global data centers.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, define the mechanical strategy, and drive critical, data‑driven decisions while navigating complex stakeholder dynamics to protect roadmap priorities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience.
• Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• System-Level Ownership: Understand mechanical designs and impact on infrastructure.
• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define multi-year vision and budget/resource needs.
• Modular Standardization: Standardize mechanical systems into modular skids.
• Global Compliance & Localization: Ensure compatibility across regions and codes.
• Strategic Alignment & Vision: Align stakeholders on forward path.
• Value Engineering & Decision Making: Challenge cost/complexity assumptions.
• Technical Leadership: Evaluate technical trade-offs as SME.
• Systems Thinking: Understand upstream/downstream impacts on electrical and structural systems.
