Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer in Annapolis, MD. Responsibilities include concept development, design development and integration for undersea hardware, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing readiness and collaboration with a cross-functional team.

Required are a Mechanical/Aerospace/Ocean Engineering degree with significant experience and an active Top Secret clearance with CI poly. On-site work is expected at our Annapolis campus.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Ocean Engineering or equivalent STEM with at least 5 years of experience or MS with 3+ years.
• Ability to work on site at Annapolis, MD campus.
• Active Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI CI polygraph.
• Proficiency using common engineering design, production, analysis and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Concept development, problem solving, technical planning and design development for undersea hardware.
• Translate customer requirements into systems solutions considering schedule and cost.
• Collaborate in a team environment, prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Develop engineering processes and documentation for manufacturing and support production.
