Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer or Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the Naval & Oceanic Systems unit in Annapolis, MD. The role focuses on concept development, design, integration and testing of undersea hardware, translating customer requirements into robust systems solutions.

The candidate will collaborate in a fast-paced team, manage multiple tasks, and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Ocean Engineering or equivalent STEM) and a minimum experience as described for Principal/Senior Principal roles.
• Experience requirements vary by level: 5+ years (Principal) or 8+ years (Senior Principal) with MS/PhD as alternative.
• Proficiency with engineering design, production, analysis tools and office software.

Responsibilities

• Concept development, problem solving, technical planning, design development and integration & testing of undersea hardware.
• Translate customer requirements into systems solutions within cost and schedule constraints.
• Collaborate in a team, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively.
