Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector in Roy, UT, seeks Principal/Sr Principal Mechanical Engineers. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, reviewing designs and integrating with NG teams to meet requirements.

The work includes a 9/80 schedule with Fridays off every other week, and a path to apply for a US DoD Secret clearance. Primary responsibilities cover mechanical design for defense programs within SDS teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5+ years experience.
• Master’s degree with 3 years experience.
• PhD with 1 year experience.
• US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain SAP.
• Experience with MILCON, infrastructure or aerospace programs.
• CAD modeling with NX or similar.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Ability to interpret requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers, review designs and integrate with NG teams.
• Participate in design reviews and develop mechanical products and solutions.
• Ensure adherence to requirements across programs.
