The role involves leading design reviews, evaluating mechanical systems, ensuring quality, and delivering technical data packages, with a standard 9/80 work schedule and potential relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
• U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret clearance at time of application
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period
• 2+ years of CAD modeling experience (Siemens NX preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a background in mechanical systems

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ethics and integrity while innovating.
• Collaborate across Suppliers to accomplish the team goals.
• Transition innovative solutions for US strategic deterrence to programs of record.
• Evaluate mechanical systems, products, components, and applications by reviewing designs.
• Ensure product quality by reviewing mechanical designs and validating standards are applied.
• Provide Mechanical Systems design Technical Data Packages and interface models.
• Support structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions.
• Develop and present design change requests with stakeholders and keep the baseline under configuration control.
