Job summary

SCRAM Systems is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end design of portable electronics and related hardware. Based on-site in Greenwood Village, CO, you will drive technical vision, mentor teams, and partner with leadership to align engineering initiatives with business goals.

You will design, validate, and improve products, manage complex assemblies, and ensure manufacturability and cost targets while advancing regulatory compliance and product development processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 20+ years of progressive project responsibilities.
• Experience with formal Product Development Processes (Stage-Gate).
• Experience designing parts using a variety of techniques and materials.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze, and test mechanical aspects of portable electronics equipment.
• Generate 3D CAD designs and 2D drawings utilizing SolidWorks.
• Lead by influencing teams and setting long-term technical vision with executive alignment.
• Mentor team and actively drive technical skills across projects.
• Coordinate multiple teams to implement technical strategies and ensure on-time delivery.
• Support production with design changes to improve manufacturability and reduce costs.
