Job summary

General Dynamics IT seeks a Mechanical Engineer Principal to support NAWCAD-WOLF projects. You will shape mission-critical government systems aboard naval vessels, lead design and integration efforts, and drive testing and field implementation.

A Master’s degree and 8+ years of related experience are required, with Secret clearance ability and PMP preferred. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, precise interpretation of SIDs and engineering drawings, and on-site presence in CA/MD

Qualifications

• Requires Masters degree in an engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of related engineering experience, design and interoperability work.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance; PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and support engineering direction for design, development, integration, installation, fielding, operation, maintenance, and testing of C5ISR systems.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure interoperability and mission readiness of C5ISR systems.
• Plan and execute rigorous system testing, analyze results, and resolve integration challenges in complex environments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and Ship Installation Drawings (SID) for compliant installation.
