Amazon is seeking a Principal, Manufacturing Process Excellence to diagnose operational issues, define viable solutions, and hand off to PMO for execution in Bellevue, WA. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
• 10+ years in manufacturing or supply chain operations, process consulting, or business process architecture.
• 7+ years in discrete manufacturing environments diagnosing problems and designing solutions.
• 5+ years conducting structured problem assessment, root cause analysis, and requirements definition across complex environments.
• 5+ years in consulting or diagnostic roles focused on problem framing and solution recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Assess problems and perform root cause analysis on manufacturing and supply chain issues.
• Define problem scope, boundaries, and stakeholder requirements through workshops and interviews.
• Document detailed requirements including context, specifications, acceptance criteria, constraints, and dependencies.
• Define the Minimum Viable Solution (MVS) and acceptance criteria for handoff to PMO.
• Collaborate with Functional leadership to generate candidate solution approaches and prioritize actions.
• Prepare complete handoff packages with problem statements, analyses, risk logs, and rationale for priority.
