Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Software Development Advisor to join our Medicare DME program. You will lead and contribute to complex mainframe development, provide technical leadership, and ensure high-quality software with rigorous unit testing and documentation.

The role requires strong mainframe skills, Agile/SAFe experience, and ability to mentor junior developers. A Public Trust clearance and US citizenship are required, with responsibilities spanning design through deployment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 6 years; or HS diploma with 12 years.

Responsibilities

• Designs, codes, unit tests, and debugs complex enhancements and fixes to the Medicare health claims processing system.
• Leads technical design sessions and drives implementation of complex software components.
• Applies deep technical expertise to deliver reliable, high-quality maintenance and development solutions.
• Represents the team during client-facing technical discussions, communicating complex issues clearly and effectively.
