Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting IBM mainframe middleware such as CICS, MQ, WAS, or ODM.
• Knowledge of z/OS subsystems and SMF/RMF data.
• Experience with performance monitoring, capacity reporting, and problem determination.
• Ability to read dumps, analyze telemetry, and communicate findings clearly.
• Familiarity with SAS/MXG, Python, REXX, and scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize CICS performance, including region activity and transactions.
• Triage MQ queue managers, CHINIT spaces, queues, and channels for tuning opportunities.
• Support WAS/Compute Grid workloads, collect PMI metrics, and interpret JVM data.
• Analyze Kafka connectors and brokers for performance improvements.
• Document methods, dashboards, and procedures for reuse and handoffs.
• Participate in incident response, stress testing, and change validation.
