Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage high-profile class actions and complex commercial litigation, including employment and bankruptcy matters.
• Oversee and report on litigation portfolios across the group.
• Develop litigation strategies and risk management approaches with cross-team visibility.
• Advise senior stakeholders on litigation exposure, strategy and mitigation options.
• Proactively identify litigation trends and provide training to mitigate risk.
• Leverage technology, including AI tools, to improve legal processes and identify optimization opportunities.

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Litigation Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will help shape and execute litigation strategy across a broad portfolio of complex matters, with particular emphasis on high-stakes disputes and risk management.

The position partners closely with senior stakeholders and the broader legal organization to assess exposure, guide decision-making, and strengthen litigation practices.

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience handling sophisticated litigation matters and a practical approach to using technology and process improvements to drive efficiency.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $207,000 - $248,000 annually

• Manage high-profile class actions and complex commercial litigation, including employment and bankruptcy matters

• Develop litigation strategies and risk management approaches with cross-team visibility

• Proven ability to independently manage complex litigation and define strategies in high-stakes scenarios
• Experience advising senior stakeholders on litigation risk and mitigation strategies
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with effective negotiation abilities
• Track record of using technology to enhance legal processes and improve efficiency
