Job summary

Orionplacement in Los Angeles seeks a senior attorney to lead professional liability and employment litigation with autonomy and impact. You will manage complex cases, develop strategies, and mentor junior attorneys in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active California bar admission required.
• 5+ years of professional liability and/or employment litigation experience.
• Strong litigation strategy, legal writing, deposition and discovery skills.
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities for senior-level attorney.
• Trial, arbitration, mediation or significant motion practice experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead sophisticated professional liability and/or employment litigation from inception through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy and provide practical, high-level counsel to clients.
• Draft and oversee complex motions, pleadings, discovery, briefs and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Manage client relationships and communicate directly with executives, professionals, insurers, and other stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor associates and collaborate with attorneys across the litigation team.
• Evaluate case exposure and negotiate favorable outcomes.
• Manage multiple complex matters with high standards for responsiveness and client service.
